Shop Update August 2026 August 28 2026, 0 Comments

Thank you to everyone who visited the stand at Southern Wool Show last weekend, what a great weekend it was!
I'm sorry for the lack of emails over the summer, it's been difficult juggling everything especially with the heat and the dyeing for wholesale and the show I was trying to do. If you didn't make the show I will be having my last Open Studio at the current location on Sunday 13th September, then will be at Stafford Wool Gathering in October, so you still have 2 chances to visit coming up. I won't be at Unravel... Autumn however, as it's the same day my eldest is moving into his university accommodation. I'm really pleased as he got into his first choice so thank you for all the good luck messages back when he was taking his exams.
This month's shop update isn't huge, but there is a selection of laceweight bases including some one-off Bliss Heavy Lace and quite a few colourways on Enchant.
Shorter email this week but I will try and be more organised next week. There's still a lot going on with the studio move though so despite being busy there isn't much to show.

Book Inspired Colourways
Inspired by books, these are limited edition colourways dyed this year.
Guess How Much I Love You
Paddington Bear
Dyed for Southern Wool Show, there wasn't really anything else I could do but everyone's favourite marmalade sandwich eating bear from Newbury author Michael Bond. Classic duffle coat blue with red for his hat and just a touch of marmalade orange! Available on Crush (4ply) and Coorie DK.
Enchant
If you haven't tried, or even felt, Enchant before, it's a beautifully soft blend of alpaca, silk and cashmere with a gentle halo and lovely drape. Once described to me at a show by someone as feeling like "Buttered Kittens" - Not that I've actually tried but that sounds a good description to me!
Selkino

Selkino is superwash merino and silk single-ply yarn, giving it a smooth handle and a subtle sheen. This update includes Wittenham and some other semi-solid colourways.
Events
- 13th September - Open Studio, Newbury
- 17th & 18th October - Stafford Wool Gathering
There are a few other things in the update so do go and check out the preview. Hopefully this week will be slightly less hectic and I won't feel like I'm chasing my tail quite so much but I'm not holding my breath until everyone has everything they need for back to school and uni!
I hope you have a good week, take care, look after yourself and keep crafting!
