January Shop Update 2026 January 30 2026, 0 Comments

Welcome to January's Shop Update. If you have joined recently this is the once a month stock update on the website. Often what was dyed for a yarn show or new products but also stock updates of popular repeatable colourways. This month we have some Flockly which you may know is one of my favourite bases and two colours of Lustrous, all dyed in non-repeatable colourways. I have also dyed up more Lustrous Lace including some of the newer colourways that haven't been available on this base before. Then there is some Enchant, 4ply and DK, and Crush. Read on for full details or check out the preview where you can see everything available.

Outside of work this week has been busy with both kids being involved with the school production, both behind the scenes. I'm looking forward to seeing it tomorrow evening.

The workshop this Saturday is fully booked but if anyone else would like to learn how to knit helical stripes do let me know. I can either run another session if there is enough interest or I'm considering whether it would be possible to make into a kit with video help if you can't make it in person. Let me know what you think.

Flockly

Flockly is one of my favourite bases. It's not the softest, that would have to be Enchant, but is one of the most versatile. It is a blend of Bluefaced Leicester, Silk and Cashmere so is soft as well as hard wearing. Use it for garments, accessories or even socks - There is also a DK version!

The colourways are all non-repeatable, dyed in a batch of 4 to add an extra special touch to your project. I have drawn inspiration from the change in the seasons with greens, teals and pinks. Meet Spring Thaw, New Shoots, Cloud Garden, Camellia Blooms and Water Garden.

Lustrous

Just two new colourways of Lustrous after Waltham Abbey Wool Show. These are named after seasonal treats - Cinnamon Cream and Chocolate Kisses.

Lustrous is a lovely luxurious mix of Silk and Merino great for drapey projects like shawls of soft tee shirt tops.

Lustrous Lace

A nice little restock of Laceweight including some of our newer colourways that I hadn't dyed on this base before - Blacklight, Goldfinch and Jay. Colourways come out paler and speckles spread out a little more on this non-superwash base as the dye doesn't stick as fast as on the superwash bases.

Enchant

This was the most popular yarn at shows last year and it doesn't look like 2026 is going to be any different. Lots of colours restocked, some new and some old favourites like this Mountain Heather. This is a super soft blend of alpaca, silk and cashmere with softly blended colours.

Upcoming Events

Thank you for reading this update and make sure to check out the preview page for the yarns not mentioned here. I'm looking forward to all the things planned for this year, as you can see the events list is getting quite long at the moment. If there are any workshops you would like to see online or in person do let me know. This year I'm hoping to share more patterns and skills as well as yarn. Until next week, stay warm, look after yourself and others and keep crafting!
