February Shop Update February 28 2022
February always feels a very short month. I know its 3 days less but it feels so much more than that! Or is it just me? Anyway, this month we have a mini shop update, not in size, in contents! We have been dyeing up a whole bunch of mini skeins and have created bundles of 5 and 8 so you can pick which suits your project best. Every bundle is different. There are several other bases as well including the gorgeous Yaksino.
Thank-you to everyone who watched either of my virtual Unravel sessions. I hope you enjoyed seeing what we have in the studio. If you missed Unravel there is another virtual show this Saturday when I will be live on the Yorkshire Yarn Fest instagram page at 11.40am.
All the yarn is uploaded already, as well as the Little Crushes there is Floof, Lustrous Lace, Voluptuous DK and Skinny, Wriggle and Yaksino. Check the shop update preview page for all the new yarns or read on for more information and photos.
|Don't forget EU customers can now order from the website and if the order is under €150 the vat is paid at the checkout with no further charges when you receive your parcel. Do share this with your yarn-loving friends in the EU! Customers so far have reported parcels arriving quickly and with no extra worries which is great. You can add tracking to your parcel for extra peace of mind.|
This is a fluffy cloud-like yarn which results in a soft, hazy fabric. Use on its own or hold together with another yarn to produce an interesting texture. We have variegated and semi-solid colourways on this base.
This is a non-superwash merino and silk blend which has a lovely shine and blocks well. Its 800m per 100g so is perfect for most laceweight patterns. Available in some of the most popular standard colourways.
Our popular and versatile Crush sock yarn in mini skeins! Each individual skein weighs 20g and is approximately 85m long. Every bundle contains either 5 or 8 different colourways and each bundle is unique. Mini skeins are perfect for scrappy projects, heels and toes of socks, colourwork and lots more.
Yaksino is a heady mix of bouncy merino and warm yak with the sheen of silk with a twist.
This yarn arrives in the workshop in a natural grey base colour which results in deep, rich jewel tones when dyed.
Wriggle is a soft, smooth single ply yarn which is perfect for low-abrasion, indulgent projects such as shawls, scarves and cowls. If you can't see the colour you require you can order any of our standard colourways to be dyed on Wriggle especially for you.
Voluptuous is our exclusive, 100% British yarn which is custom spun for us in Devon from e blend of Exmoor Blue and Merino. Its a springy, woollen, non-superwash yarn which blooms slightly when washed and is available in fingering (skinny) and DK weights.
Tune in to the Yorkshire Yarn Fest instagram page on Saturday to catch a whole day of yarny fun. I will be on at 11.40am and have some exclusive new colourways dyed especially for the event.
Advance warning of our next Open Studio which I hope will be extra special. More details to follow but get the date in your diary now!
Thank-you for reading to the end of this newsletter. I hope you can check out the virtual show and maybe even make it to our open studio. I hope to see you soon,
